## Not medical advice. Not a diagnostic tool.

MyChild Engine and everything on this website are for informational and educational purposes only. The engine tracks developmental milestones and surfaces patterns; it cannot diagnose any medical condition, developmental disorder, or disability, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Its thresholds have been verified against synthetic scenarios but have NOT been validated in clinical trials with real children. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about your child's development. If your child loses skills they previously had, seek medical advice promptly. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

## Licenses

- **Engine code:** Apache-2.0 — commercial use, modification, distribution allowed.
- **Question bank & study data:** CC BY-SA 4.0 — attribute, share derivatives alike.
- **Third-party instruments:** the question bank derives from publicly available CDC milestone checklists and does not reproduce ASQ-3, M-CHAT-R/F, Denver, or any other copyrighted instrument. Integrating validated instruments into a product built on this engine requires licenses from their rights holders.

## No warranty, limitation of liability

The engine, data, and website are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, per the Apache-2.0 license. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the authors and contributors are not liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from use of the software, data, or website — including decisions made or not made about a child's health based on engine output. The engine's output is a signal to talk to a professional, never a decision.

## If you build on the engine

You're responsible for regulatory compliance in your jurisdiction, your own privacy practices, and presenting results with appropriate disclaimers. We ask that you keep the "not a diagnostic tool" framing and escalation guidance intact wherever screening results are shown to caregivers.
