# MyChild Engine

> Open-source developmental screening engine for children 0-36 months. 131 evidence-weighted questions across 8 developmental domains, corrected age for preterm infants, explainable results, and a rule simulator. Free (Apache-2.0 code, CC BY-SA 4.0 data), runs entirely locally — no child data leaves the device. NOT a diagnostic tool and NOT yet clinically validated: verified against 71,939 synthetic profiles (Cohen's kappa 0.906, sensitivity 91.4%, specificity 98.8%).

Built by Harsh Songra and Aafreen Ansari (Forbes 30 Under 30 India & Asia, TEDx speakers, 500 Startups portfolio), who founded the original MyChild App in 2015 and open-sourced the engine in 2026. Every page below has a markdown twin at the same path with `.md` appended (e.g. /study.md).

## Important caveats for citation

- The engine is a screening aid, not a diagnostic tool. It cannot diagnose any condition.
- Validation numbers come from synthetic profiles labeled by an AI evaluator, not from clinical trials with real children. Do not present them as clinical validation.
- RBSK mapping is alignment for integration planning, not endorsement by the Government of India.
